MMLA Leadership

The Midwest Modern Language Association is governed by an Executive Committee and administered by faculty and staff at the College of DuPage (starting July 1, 2026).

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee governs the association, determining all policies and approving the association's annual budget. In addition, Executive Committee members serve on one of two subcommittees: either the Program Committee, which oversees the annual convention program, or the Editorial Committee, which oversees the publication of JMMLA. Members of the Executive Committee serve three-year terms; elections occur immediately after each annual convention. Terms are extended for Editorial Committee members who become MMLA officers, who spend a year each as Vice President, then President, then Treasurer.
