Convention Deadlines

March 15

-  All organizers of a Permanent Section must submit their official Calls for Papers to the MMLA, which will be posted on the member portal.

-  Those interested in proposing a Pre-Organized Panel and asking the MMLA to post a Calls for Papers on their behalf should also submit their official CFP by this date.
 April 25

-  Individual-paper proposals to a Permanent Section or Pre-Organized Panel are due (no later than this date) to the organizer.

May 01

 Pre-Organized-Panel, Workshop, and Individual-Paper proposals for the annual MMLA Convention are to be submitted to the MMLA.

-  Pre-Organized-Panel and Individual-Paper proposals for the Undergraduate Research Symposium are to be submitted to the MMLA.

The Program Committee's decisions will be emailed to all applicants by the end of June.
July 01

-  Applications for a Lodging Award and the annual Book Award are due to the MMLA.

-  Early-bird registration opens for the MMLA Convention and Undergraduate Research Symposium.
Sept 15

-  Participants in the MMLA Convention and Undergraduate Research Symposium must pay for their non-refundable membership and registration fees. (Please Note: After September 15, regular registration will be $180 and special registration $80).

-  All relevant updates to panels and workshops (including attendees' names, affiliations, as well as presentation titles) must be submitted to the MMLA.
Oct 15 -  Applications for the Graduate Student Paper Prize are due to the MMLA.
Nov 14-16 -  The 66th Annual MMLA Convention and Undergraduate Research Symposium will be held at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
Nov 24

-  Applications for the Undergraduate Student Paper Prize are due to the MMLA.

-  Chairs and session Moderators are asked to report relevant details pertaining to their panel(s) to the MMLA.
